Indy TWISTERS Hockey

Indy TWISTERS is an inclusive hockey team for individuals with development disabilities. In 2020, they will be entering their 12th season. Over the years they have had team members  with Down syndrome, Autism and other developmental delay. Anyone may join, and they are able to take participants who use wheelchairs out on the ice with coaches/volunteers guiding the chair.  The organization raises all the money, so the program is free to families. The Twisters compete in  out of town tournaments annually. Participants will need to register at the American Special Hockey Association website.

Age: usually 6-26, but have had participants from 5-35 years old participate
